SINCE 1969…

Eddie Stemmet Bouers (Pty) Ltd is a family owned construction company that is driven by the same values that have been at its heart since the very beginning. This company originated after the tragic earthquake that shook Tulbagh and many surrounding small towns in 1969. In this difficult time Eddie Stemmet saw a chance to have a positive impact on these communities. His vision was to reconstruct fallen buildings and to help fix our heritage sites. This was only the beginning of a much larger dream.

When he first started he only had the backing of his very determined and committed wife, Esmarie Stemmet, one vehicle and four general workers. Together they started very small and slowly but surely built a company that is very strong established in the construction world.

TODAY…

Today the company is held in the very capable hands of their two sons, Wilhelm and Pieter Stemmet. They are currently working in different provinces and is proud to have their name on houses, commercial and industrial buildings and wineries.

The company still revolves around the same values that it has had since day one; sourcing the best quality material, taking care of tools and equipment, neat building sites and working with utter precision and perfection.
